RELAY FOR LIFE SUPPORTERS

As you can imagine, organising Pontypool Relay for Life is no small task—it takes months of planning and the support of many incredible people. This page is dedicated to our amazing supporters who help make it all possible.

We couldn’t do it without you…

THANK YOU!

SW20 RADIO

SW20 Radio has become a much-loved part of the Relay For Life Pontypool family, bringing incredible energy, music, and community spirit to our event. Since their first involvement in 2022, they’ve helped transform the atmosphere of Relay weekend—keeping us entertained, uplifted, and dancing!

As South Wales’ hottest online radio station, SW20 Radio is powered entirely by volunteers who are passionate about good music, good causes, and supporting local communities. They champion everything that’s great about local radio—giving airtime to presenters, unsigned bands, and community voices across the region.

At Relay, their support goes above and beyond. From live broadcasting and DJ sets during the day to hosting the unforgettable silent disco through the night, SW20 helps keep spirits high for our relay teams and visitors. Their presenters—including the much-loved Relay Rog, Barrie and Chris—create a feel-good vibe that carries us through the entire 24 hours.

In the build-up to the event, they shine a spotlight on our teams and captains, sharing their stories, fundraising efforts, and reasons for taking part. During Relay, they take song requests, shout out to teams on air, and share heartfelt messages from the community.

Whether they’re on the mic or behind the scenes, SW20 Radio is a vital part of our Relay journey—and we couldn’t be more grateful for their continued support in helping us raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK.

GW CRAFTERS

GW Crafters are a brilliant collective of stallholders who bring colour, creativity, and community spirit to events across Torfaen and Monmouthshire—and Relay For Life Pontypool is lucky to have them as part of our journey.

Since 2022, they’ve been dedicated supporters of Relay, setting up an amazing variety of stalls full of handmade crafts, tasty treats, and unique finds. Their presence adds a vibrant, festival feel to Relay day and gives our visitors something special to enjoy while supporting a great cause.

Not only do they help create a buzzing atmosphere, but GW Crafters also go above and beyond by generously donating prizes to our Cancer Survivor raffle, held in the marquee during the event.

Led by the wonderful Kate, this group continues to be a valued and cherished part of the Relay family.

You can get in touch with Kate through the GW Crafters Facebook page.
